In short: Pepscale is a personal health tracking tool, not a medical device. Use it to track your progress, but always consult your healthcare provider for medical decisions.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Pepscale ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Pepscale is a personal weight and medication tracking application for iOS and Apple Watch. The App allows you to:

Record and track body weight and body composition measurements
Log medication doses, injection sites, and related notes
View progress charts and BMI calculations
Set reminders for weight logging and medication doses
Optionally back up your data to iCloud
Optionally sync data with Apple HealthKit
View data on a paired Apple Watch

3. Medical Disclaimer

Pepscale is NOT a medical device and does NOT provide medical advice.

The App is intended for personal tracking purposes only.
BMI calculations, weight trends, and medication schedules displayed in the App are for informational purposes and should not be used as a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
Always consult a qualified healthcare provider before starting, stopping, or changing any medication, including GLP-1 receptor agonists (such as Ozempic, Mounjaro, Wegovy, Saxenda, or Zepbound).
The medication tracking feature is a personal log — it does not verify dosages, check for interactions, or provide clinical guidance.
Any numeric dose display (including unit conversions from click count to milligrams or milliliters) is based solely on values you have manually entered. The App does not calculate, recommend, adjust, or prescribe medication dosages; it only records and displays what you enter.
If you experience a medical emergency, contact your local emergency services immediately. Do not rely on this App for urgent health decisions.

4. User Responsibilities

You are responsible for the accuracy of data you enter into the App.
You are responsible for maintaining backups of your data. While the App offers iCloud Backup, we do not guarantee data recovery in all circumstances.
You must be at least 17 years old to use the App.

5. Data Ownership

You own all data you enter into Pepscale. We do not claim any rights over your personal health data. All data is stored on your devices and, optionally, in your personal iCloud account. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

6. Intellectual Property

The Pepscale name, logo, design, and source code are the property of the developer. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer the App or any of its components.

7. Apple Watch & Widgets

The Apple Watch companion app and iOS widgets display data from the main App. These features:

Require a paired iPhone with Pepscale installed
May have limited functionality when the iPhone is not reachable (offline weight entries are queued and synced later)
Are subject to the same medical disclaimer as the main App

8. Third-Party Services

Pepscale integrates with the following Apple services, each governed by their own terms:

iCloud (CloudKit): For optional data backup — governed by Apple's iCloud Terms
Apple HealthKit: For optional health data sync — governed by Apple's Privacy Policy
Apple WatchConnectivity: For Apple Watch data sync

Pepscale does not integrate with any non-Apple third-party services.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
We do not warrant that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of harmful components.
We are not liable for any damages arising from the use or inability to use the App, including but not limited to: data loss, health decisions made based on App data, or device compatibility issues.
Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App.

10. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it from your devices. Upon deletion, all local data is removed. iCloud data can be managed through iOS Settings.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Bulgaria, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Sofia, Bulgaria, except where mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence grant you additional rights that cannot be derogated from by agreement.
